La Mano Extendida is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to extending a helping hand to families facing hardship across Los Angeles and Orange County. Rooted in compassion, community, and cultural pride, our mission is to provide essentials, food security, and hope to those most in need.
What began as small, door-to-door deliveries has grown into a movement of kindness — connecting volunteers, local businesses, and community partners to serve families with dignity and love. Every grocery drop-off, toy drive, and resource packet is a reminder that Amor Runs Deep — and that when we come together, even small acts of care can create lasting change.
Through our Hands in Motion volunteer days, Holiday drives, and monthly community food banks, La Mano Extendida continues to bring light, stability, and opportunity to families who often feel unseen.

Essential Deliveries
We provide private deliveries of groceries, hygiene kits, and basic necessities directly to families facing hardship across Los Angeles and Orange County. Each delivery is made with compassion and respect, ensuring every family receives the care they deserve.
Community Food Banks
Once a month, we host community food distribution events in partnership with local churches, businesses, and volunteers. These gatherings offer groceries, fresh produce, and household essentials while fostering unity and connection within the community.
Donation Drives
Throughout the year, we organize donation campaigns — including back-to-school supplies, Thanksgiving meals, and holiday toy drives — that bring hope and relief to families during critical times.
Family Resource Program
Our bilingual resource packets connect families with vital community services such as legal aid, health care access, and educational support. We empower families with the tools and information needed to create lasting stability.
Sponsor a Family
Our Sponsor a Family program allows individuals, businesses, and community groups to directly support a local family in need. Sponsors provide monthly or seasonal contributions that help cover essentials such as groceries, clothing, and household supplies. Every sponsorship helps a family feel seen, supported, and less alone during difficult times.
Hands in Motion Volunteer Days
